The online racing simulator

hmmm it was a difficult question to ask because im not even sure what im asking..

Its not the driving, because that comes with experience.

What ive found with LFS is that its the only racing sim on the planet where slower more controlled driving = faster lap times..

Its really difficult getting that into her young head..lol..

I was looking for some way of explaining that so she will understand...
Teaching the young
Learning any new game is challenging but I guess most gamers have a knowledge of how games work and most people who drive cars will understand the working of a race simulator, ie, throttle pressure around bends etc..

I need advice..

My 14yr old daughter has been driving around AS Club using the fox getting times of 1min 6secs, which is quite good compared to most decent racers getting in the low 1min 2sec's.

No matter how many times I explain the game and how to use the wheel and pedals theres something she just isnt grasping and im not sure what that is.

What would you explain to the young for them to grasp the game easier.

Not that fast but great fun to drive
But corner cutting is something you see on any track if the car can safely cut it, I guess it becomes an exploit if the designer didnt intend for it to happen.
oke doke..

Any specific reason why online racing times are not accepted ??
How are WR set and accepted?
I noticed someone come very close to a WR last night and wondered if he had of broken it would the server auto save the race or are the servers linked to a database..??

Im a noob when it comes to LFS

So whats the procedure or what should I do if I happen to set a new WR..

And are WR's valid on demo servers?
DFP : Embarrassed to ask..but which driver for my machine
Regarding Logitech DFP

This is going to sound so noobie but I know I have an AMD 64 machine with Windows XP, but unsure if I should use the Wingman XP 4.60 driver or the 4.60 XP 64bit Driver.

As I dont know if the AMD64 and XP 64bit are related ???

Please forgive my noobiness
Yeah..found that earlier after I had posted the original thread..
Quote from RedQuad :First thanks for your input,
but I never said that I want a fan to reproduce such an air pressure like you would have if you were going 300km h^-1 without a helmet. That would be an incredible stupid idea b.t.w. because you wouldn't be strong enough to reduce the volume of your thorax due to high pressure differences (You couldn't breathe anymore, because your expiration would be disabled).

Well that made me chuckle

Realistic impacts next ?

Actually I like the idea cos the weather at the moment is really hot.
Thx mate, Just did more searching and found the answers..

Cant wait till it arrives, fed up using keys
Logitech DFP noob question
Hi guys, been playing LFS for a few weeks now and love it, Bought S2 though the faster cars are little frantic for me at the moment.

Anyway ive searched the forums and im suffering from information overload.

I wish to buy a Logitech DFP, as I understand it the DFP is NOT supported by logitech for PC use..

So do I have to use the Driver for the momo steering wheel, version 4.60.

If I have to use V4.60 do I need to install the software (if any) that comes with the steering wheel itself

And does the DFP need the V4.60 installed for the Force feedback to work.?

Thx for any help..its much appreciated.
